Meet the crew

For the past few years I've had the pleasure and priviledge of filming the NWU Vice-Chancellor's video messages. Dr Theuns Eloff's term as VC ends next year and this was one of the final recordings. 

Thanks Dr Theuns and everyone involved for making this long-running project such a joy to work on. This picture represents something really special to me.

A blast from the past

The documentary "Finding the Fable" directed by Nicholas Ellenbogen was shown in the William Humphreys museum in Kimberley recently.   
 



The project was initiated two years ago by the African Centre for Disaster Studies at the NWU and was funded by USAID. The film itself boasts a great musical score courtesy of acoustic rock duo Lloyd & Bruno. If you couldn't make it to Kimberley yesterday don't despair because its available on DVD and you can view it online on YouTube

What a hectic time of the year! I’ve been a fan of DSLR video ever since we worked on the L&B music video. When I landed a big corporate video project a few weeks ago it took me about three seconds to decide that I wanted it shot with a Canon EOS 5D. To the uninitiated the 5D is a digital still camera that has become all the rage in the digital video world where a few pros are applying them with great effect to shoot everything from high end commercial...
