What you're looking at is the repair I made to my old Miller DS-20 tripod. See, when the plastic release latches start cracking after six years of daily use and you're faced with the prospect of coughing up R25K for a new tripod...you just drill holes in that baby and fix it with R10 worth of screws from your local hardware store! So far it works great :)

I've seen GoPros fitted in weird places at even weirder angles (and even considered a few of my own) but this is...wow. I guess it got some interesting footage of pit girls getting splashed with bubbly though. And where's the harm in that?

I don't do weddings (Ok...I've done two but it was for family only) and I'm not too keen on doing corporate functions either because they feel like you're doing a wedding. I have however done a handful of the latter on special request from clients, so I have experienced first hand the seething hatred and distrust that radiates between photographer and videographer at these events.

Seriously who shows up for work with a camera without a tripod and headsets?! Those are the ultimate symbols of me...

Welcome to a new year! Yes, I'm starting early this year. Why? Because I have project deadlines to make by the end of the month...that and I'm super lazy so I'll need a running start. How lazy you may ask? So lazy I'm recycling my Twitter pics to do my first blog update. Yes, I know. That's terrible. I have no values...
